L'Aigle
This L6 meteorite fell on April 26, 1803 at 1:00 in the afternoon in Orne, France. Between 200 & 3000 stones rained down on the village of L'Aigle in broad daylight. The Catholic church sent people to investigate this fall and with so many witnesses and evidence, they finally accepted that stones do indeed fall from the sky. This meteorite marked the turning pint of meteorites from the supernatural to real scientific study.
