MUONIONALUSTA, Iron, fine octahedrite, IVA. The Muonionalusta iron meteorite shower fell on a holocene glacier. All finds have been recovered from the sediments of the moraine from that glacier at Kitkiojärvi, Norbotten in Sweden. The original find was made in 1906. Picture shows a wedge shaped endblock that has two convergent cut surfaces and a third surface which shows the exterior in find condition. The etch pattern of this IVA iron is said to surmount Gibeon in clearness and beauty.
