NWA 869 Thin Section:

Several large euhedral olivine & pyroxene crystals within sibling compond chondrule (left part of the figure 8 feature at lower left). Only one large crystal in the right part of the figure 8 feature - the others are markedly smaller. Extreamly large radiating pyroxene chondrule fragment at lower right and very large oval porphyritic looking chondrule with relict olivine bars surronded by several euhedral to subhedral olivines and pyroxenes directly above this radiating proxene chondrule fragment. Numerous small pyroxene crystals are superposed on the radiating pyroxene chondrule fragment whose upper right part is missing. Pyroxene chondrule partially visible at top right (one o'clock position) shows undulatory extinction. Silicate darking (due to shock - S3) in several areas of the section. Magnification is 32 x.
