Rocks From Space Picture of the Day May 06, 2007

This unclassified Saharan meteorite was purchased back in November of 2006
in Morocco. The stone consists of three pieces: 6850g, 3045g and 1685g,
making it 11.58kg (25.5 lbs) in total. Overall dimensions are approximately
25x20x15cm (9.8"x7.9"x5.9").
Special about this stone, are the many large thumb-prints and the flow lines
radiating from a central depression at the - non visible - back side.
Because of the size of this meteorite the thumb-prints are really thumb
sized!
